Code of Conduct¶
← Project README · Contributing · Security policy
This Code of Conduct defines the standards for respectful, constructive, and academically responsible participation in the UniPD Computer Engineering project.
Our pledge¶
We want this project to remain welcoming to students, contributors, readers, instructors, and maintainers regardless of background, identity, experience, education, or level of technical knowledge.
Participation should contribute to an open, helpful, inclusive, and healthy learning environment.
Community standards¶
| Do | Avoid |
|---|---|
| Treat others with patience and respect. | Harassment, discrimination, threats, insults, or personal attacks. |
| Give clear, actionable feedback focused on the material or code. | Trolling, dismissive replies, or criticism directed at people. |
| Share context, listen to other viewpoints, and correct mistakes openly. | Repeatedly disrupting issues, Pull Requests, reviews, or project work. |
| Respect university rules and academic integrity. | Sharing leaked, restricted, confidential, or active-assessment material. |
| Protect personal and sensitive information. | Publishing someone else's private information without permission. |
| Contribute material you are allowed to redistribute. | Pressuring others to disclose personal, academic, employment, or security information. |
Good-faith disagreement about technical content, notation, pedagogy, or repository design is welcome when it remains respectful and evidence-based.
Scope¶
This Code of Conduct applies to repository content, issues, Pull Requests, reviews, discussions, project-related email, and other communication connected to the project.
It also applies when someone is representing the project through an official account, channel, event, or delegated role.
Academic integrity and privacy¶
This repository is intended for legitimate study, documentation, and collaboration.
Do not publish active exam questions, confidential course material, leaked assessments, access-restricted resources, or any other material you are not permitted to redistribute.
Do not publish another person's personal information, private messages, academic records, credentials, or other sensitive information without explicit permission.
Reporting a problem¶
Report abusive, harassing, or otherwise unacceptable behavior privately by emailing [email protected] with the subject UniPD Computer Engineering conduct report.
Do not open a public issue for a private conduct report.
Include only the information needed to understand the concern, such as a concise description, the approximate date and location, and relevant links, quotations, or sanitized screenshots.
Reports will be reviewed as promptly and fairly as reasonably possible and kept as private as the situation allows.
If the concern involves the project maintainer or cannot safely be reported by email, use GitHub's Report Abuse form.
Security vulnerabilities should instead follow the private process described in SECURITY.md.
Enforcement¶
Content or contributions that violate these standards may be edited, rejected, removed, or closed.
Depending on the context, severity, impact, and prior behavior, a contributor may receive a private correction, formal warning, temporary restriction, or permanent ban from project spaces.
Retaliation against someone who reports a concern or participates in its review is not acceptable.
Attribution¶
This Code of Conduct is adapted from the Contributor Covenant, version 2.1, and this adaptation is distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.
The enforcement approach is also informed by Mozilla's code of conduct enforcement ladder.
